The high surface dual sponges provide surface area for colonization of essential bacteria and prevent debris from clogging the pump. The unique handle is a convenience for rapid uncoupling during regular maintenance. The modular design provides many options for additional filters and a variety of pumps. The internal white sponge can be replaced with bio balls or ceramic media. They can be used with pumps up to 6000l/h.
